Materials Needed for your lake truck Wreath Rail

How to make your truck wreath rail

  1. Start with your truck wreath rail.
  2. Add your pipe cleaners.
  3. Cut your mesh.
  4. Make ruffles with your mesh.
  5. Add your ruffles into your twist ties.
  6. Cut your ribbon tails.
  7. Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  8. Make and add your ribbon tails.
  9. Leave an open spot for your bow.
  10. Cut your deco tubing.
  11. Make and add your deco tubing bows.
  12. Add 2 tubing bows into a twist tie on top of the ribbon tails. 
  13. Repeat with the rest of the tubing.
  14. Make your bow.
  15. Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  16. Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
  17. Fluff out your bow.
  18. Dovetail your bow ends.
  19. Add a hanger to the top of your design.

In some ways there isn’t much difference between a wreath rail and a wreath. They both look amazing with deco mesh and ribbon tails. They both can be customized for any season or style. And they both make fabulous door décor. Learn how you can make a truck wreath rail with this simple tutorial.

Directions

  • Start with your truck wreath rail.
  • Take your pipe cleaners and add 5 to the wreath rail in a zigzag pattern.
  • Take your orange 10” deco mesh and cut 5 x 30” pieces.
  • Take your mesh pieces and make ruffles by curling the ends in and pinching the middles together.
  • Add your ruffles into your twist ties.
  • Take your yellow ribbon and cut 8 x 12” strips.
  • Take your striped ribbon and cut 4 x 12” strips.
  • Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  • Layer 2 x yellow tails and a striped ribbon tail, pinch the middle together and add it into the twist tie with the mesh.
  • Leave an open spot for your bow.
  • Take your tubing and cut 8 x 22” pieces.
  • Take the tubing, make a circle and pinch the middle to make a bow.
  • Add 2 tubing bows into a twist tie on top of the ribbon tails.
  • Repeat with the rest of the tubing.
  • Make your bow: Take your dark blue, blue striped, orange, light blue, striped, yellow and sheer blue ribbons and make a bow with 12” tails with each ribbon.
  • Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  • Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dovetail your bow ends.
  • Add a hanger to the top of your design.
