Learn How You can Hang a Wreath Rail
Now to hang a wreath rail that you have created, it is simple. To keep in mind this is a project for wreath rails that do not have holes in them to hang already.
Supplies You Use When Hanging A Wreath Rail
Cable tie mounts:
Cable tie mounts are the key to this project, it is what you are going to use to hang a wreath rail. Sometimes wreath rails come with holes in them, the holes are what you would use to hang it. When it doesn’t, that’s where these bad boys come in. They have holes on one side where your pipe cleaners are going to hang, and the other is flat and will be used to stick to the rail.
Pipe cleaners:
Pipe cleaners are also essential because it is what will go through your cable tie mount to allow you to hang your wreath rail.
Dap Glue:
Dap Glue helps with the extra adhesive to make sure your rail is secure and won’t fall off once you hang it. It would be a bummer if your beautiful creation turns into a complete hot mess because it could not stay on the hook.
Piece of paper: this is to separate the drying glue from the heavy object to keep things nice and clean, again we might feel like hot messes, but we try to avoid it when it comes to dap glue.
Heavy object: this is going to keep the glue in the spot you chose and secure it in place. I suggest a bottle of paint.
How To Put A Cable Tie Mount On A Wreath Rail:
- You are going to first find the center of the top of your wreath rail.
- Then you are going to grab one of the cable tie mounts and peel the back end of it.
- I like to then add some dap glue, a good swirl of glue to cover the back.
- I find the center of the wreath rail you found at the beginning and stick the cable tie mount
- I then put glue all around the edge of the mount for some extra stick.
- Then get a piece of paper and place it over the mount.
- Grab a heavy object to apply pressure to the area so that the cable will dry and stay in place.
- Wait about 30 minutes or until the glue has set and is stuck onto the back of your wreath rail.
- After it is dry take a pipe cleaner, run either side through the mount, twist back up where a loop should form.
