Create your own welcome wreath rail for spring!
Spring, who doesn’t love it? With all the flowers and pretty colors… There is no better way to decorate your house for spring than with this super sweet welcome wreath rail perfect for spring! I love making wreath rails, they show off a different side of wreath making that I am so glad to be apart if and help others find their passion as well!
Materials Needed for the welcome wreath rail:
- Painted welcome wreath rail base
- 7 x spring colored ribbons
- 1 x deco tubing
- 1 x pink 10” mesh
- Spring flower sprays
- Butterfly picks
- Bow maker
- Ribbon spool board
- Ribbon tail board
- Pipe cleaners
- Rotary cutter
Instructions:
- Start with your welcome wreath rail.
- Add your pipe cleaners.
- Add in your pink deco mesh.
- Keep adding poofs all throughout the wreath rail.
- Cut your ribbon tail strips.
- Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
- Layer the ribbon tails and add them into your design.
- Take your tubing and cut 9 x 18” pieces.
- Add your tubing.
- Make your bow.
- Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
- Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
- Fluff out your bow.
- Dovetail your bow ends.
- Add your flowers and butterfly picks into the design.

Welcome wreath rail for spring
Learn how you can make a welcome wreath rail with this simple tutorial.
Supplies
Directions
- Start with your welcome wreath rail.
- Take your pipe cleaners and add 9 to the wreath rail in a zigzag pattern.
- Take your pink 10” deco mesh, fold the end over to make a poof and add it into a twist tie 2 ties in.
- Measure out 10” and make another poof, secure it into the next pipe cleaner.
- Keep adding poofs all throughout the wreath rail.
- Take your yellow floral ribbon and coral ribbon and cut 9 x 12” strips of each one.
- Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
- Layer the yellow and coral ribbon tails, pinch the middle together and add it into the twist tie with the mesh.
- Take your tubing and cut 9 x 18” pieces.
- Take the tubing, make a circle and pinch the middle to make a bow.
- Add the tubing bow into a twist tie on top of the ribbon tails.
- Repeat with the rest of the tubing.
- Make your bow: Take your yellow polka dot ribbon, orange polka dot ribbon, peach ribbon, your yellow floral ribbon and your coral glitter ribbon and make a 2 loop bow with 12” tails with each ribbon.
- Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
- Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
- Fluff out your bow.
- Dovetail your bow ends.
- Add your flowers and butterfly picks into the design.
