I am going to show you how easy it is for anybody, even beginners, to create this sweet sea turtle wreath with just a few simple supplies.

What you will need to make your sea turtle wreath rail:

How to make your sea turtle wreath rail

  1. Start with your sea turtle wreath rail.
  2. Add your pipe cleaners.
  3. Take your peach 21” deco mesh and add poofs into your wreath rail, securing them into each twist tie
  4. Take your blue 10” mesh and cut 5 x 15” pieces.
  5. Make and add your ruffles.
  6. Cut your ribbon tails.
  7. Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  8. Take your patterned ribbon and cut 4 x 12” pieces.
  9. Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  10. Layer the three ribbons, pinch the middle together and add it into the twist tie with the mesh, leaving one open for your bow.
  11. Make your bow.
  12. Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  13. Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
  14. Fluff out your bow.
  15. Dovetail your bow ends.
  16. Take your tubing and cut 2 x 22” pieces of each one.
  17. Take the tubing, make a circle and pinch the middle to make a bow.
  18. Add the tubing bows into the twist ties on top of the ribbon tails.

Learn how you can make a sea turtle wreath rail with this simple tutorial.

Directions

  • Start with your sea turtle wreath rail.
  • Take your pipe cleaners and add 5 to the wreath rail.
  • Take your peach 21” deco mesh and add poofs into your wreath rail, securing them into each twist tie
  • Take your blue 10” mesh and cut 5 x 15” pieces.
  • Take your mesh and loosely pinch the middle together to make a ruffle.
  • Add the ruffle into your wreath rail by attaching it to every twist tie.
  • Take your blue ribbon and peach ribbon and cut 4 x 12” strips of each one.
  • Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  • Take your patterned ribbon and cut 4 x 12” pieces.
  • Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  • Layer the three ribbons, pinch the middle together and add it into the twist tie with the mesh, leaving one open for your bow.
  • Make your bow: Take all your ribbons and make a big bow with each one.
  • Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  • Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dovetail your bow ends.
  • Take your tubing and cut 2 x 22” pieces of each one.
  • Take the tubing, make a circle and pinch the middle to make a bow.
  • Add the tubing bows into the twist ties on top of the ribbon tails.
