Painting candy corn is one of my favorite halloween crafts. It’s super easy and makes a great decoration on any door or wall. I’ve created this blog post to share how you can paint these delicious treats using four simple steps.
Halloween Candy Corn | Paint-by-Line Tutorial
It’s that time of year again where we’re getting ready for fall festivities like pumpkin picking and carving pumpkins. My favorite activity during this season is painting all of these sweet and fun decorations for people to use to hang on their doors this Halloween, and the best part is you can follow along with me. Materials Needed
- Black Acrylic Paint Marker
- White Acrylic Paint Marker
- Black Acrylic Paint
- Green Acrylic Paint Maker
- Green Acrylic Paint
- Orange Acrylic Paint
- Purple Acrylic Paint
- White Acrylic Paint
- Yellow Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brushes
- Halloween Candy Corn blank Wreath Rail
Instructions on How to Paint the Halloween
- Take your paint brushed and start to outline your pumpkin in the orange color.
- With the same orange color, paint all of the candy corn pieces that have the orange color in the middle.
- Next with your yellow acrylic paint color in the bottom of the candy corns. For your colors it’s okay if they touch, you will be able to separate them with your acrylic marker later for a more clean look.
- With your green paint, color in the “belt” of the witch’s hat and the star on top.
- Then go over to the stem of the pumpkin and color that in with your green as well.
- With your purple paint color in the star on the hat.
- Grab your white paint and color in the tops of the candy corns
- Finally grab your black paint and fill in the witches hat.
- With that same black color in the pumpkins face.
- Now for the outline!
- With your black paint marker outline the candy corn and separate the colors on the candy.
- Continuing with your black paint marker, outline the pumpkin and the outside of the stem.
- Color outside the lines of the witch’s hat to make it look fuller.
- Then color the outside of the star with the black marker.
- With your light green paint marker start to detail the pumpkin stem
- Continuing with the same green paint marker, add some detail to the “belt” around the witch’s hat and the patch on top.
- Last but not least grab a white paint marker and outline the witch’s hat

Directions
