Materials Needed for your printed floral Wreath Rail

How to make your floral wreath rail

  1. Start with your floral wreath rail.
  2. Add your pipe cleaners to the wreath rail.
  3. Add in your 21″ mesh poofs.
  4. Cut your 10″ mesh.
  5. Make ruffles with your mesh.
  6. Add your ruffles into each twist tie.
  7. Cut your ribbon tails.
  8. Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  9. Layer and add in your tails.
  10. Cut your deco tubing.
  11. Make your deco tubing bows.
  12. Add your tubing bows into the wreath.
  13. Make your bow.
  14. Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  15. Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner, in the space where there are no tails.
  16. Fluff out your bow.
  17. Dovetail your bow ends.
  18. Add in some fun florals.

This is one of my favorite tutorials for a simple and quick option to do to a wreath rail without a hole. There might be many ways out there to do this but I found that this is fool proof! This works for wreath rails in all shapes and sizes.

The difference between a wreath and a wreath rail might not be so obvious, and you might be wondering what the difference is. It is important to know what each one does before you start making your purchase decision.

In some ways there isn’t much difference between a wreath rail and a wreath. They both look amazing with deco mesh and ribbon tails. They both can be customized for any season or style. And they both make fabulous door décor. Learn how you can make this floral wreath rail with this simple tutorial.

Directions

  • Start with your floral wreath rail.
  • Take your pipe cleaners and add 5 to the wreath rail.
  • Take your mint 21” deco mesh, roll the end under and gather the end together to make a poof.
  • Secure the poof into a pipe cleaner.
  • Make 10” poofs all along the rail, securing them into the pipe cleaners.
  • Take your yellow 10” mesh and cut 5 x 18” pieces.
  • Take your mesh, fold the ends in and pinch the middle to create a ruffle.
  • Add your ruffles into each twist tie.
  • Take your turquoise ribbon, striped ribbon and your peach ribbon and cut 4 x 12” strips.
  • Dovetail the ends of your ribbon.
  • Layer the three ribbons, pinch the middle together and add it into the twist tie with the mesh.
  • Leave one tie open for your bow.
  • Take your tubing and cut 8 x 18” pieces.
  • Take the tubing, make a circle and pinch the middle to make a bow.
  • Add 2 x tubing bows into each twist tie on top of the ribbon tails. 
  • Repeat with the rest of the tubing.
  • Make your bow: Take your sheer blue, striped, peach and yellow floral ribbons and make a bow with each one.
  • Secure the bow together with a pipe cleaner.
  • Attach your bow to your wreath rail using the pipe cleaner, in the space where there are no tails.
  • Fluff out your bow.
  • Dovetail your bow ends.
  • Add in some fun florals.
